Delete your Shio account
You can remove your account, recipes, and uploaded images from inside Shio. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email.
Delete it in the app
- Open Shio and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Tap Delete account.
- Enter your account email to confirm the deletion.
The request is processed immediately and signs you out when it completes.
If you cannot open Shio
Email support@tryshio.com from the address on your Shio account with the subject “Delete my Shio account.” We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting the account so someone else cannot erase it.
What is deleted
- Your Shio account and profile.
- Your recipes, collections, meal plans, grocery items, and notes.
- Your uploaded recipe covers, photos, and screenshots.
- Your saved dietary rules, nutrition estimates, and recipe chats.
Data is removed from our primary systems. Encrypted backup copies may persist for up to 30 days before they are purged, unless a longer period is required by law.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your Shio account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it to prevent the next renewal.
