If you need it

A little help with the import.

What if Shio is missing from the Share menu?

Install or update Shio, then look under More in the share sheet. Or copy the recipe text, open Shio, and tap + → Paste recipe text → Import. Include the title, ingredients, and directions.

What if my note contains a photo or a link?

For a photo or scan, use Upload screenshots in Shio and include every recipe page. For a website link, use Paste a link with the original recipe URL. An iCloud collaboration link will not send the recipe text.

Can I import a whole folder?

Import one recipe at a time. If a note holds several recipes, copy each into Paste recipe text separately.

What happens to my original note?

It stays in Apple Notes. Shio saves a separate recipe; later edits do not sync between the two apps. Text import organizes ingredients and directions rather than preserving the note’s layout.

Can I do this from a Mac or Android?

For Mac notes synced through iCloud, open the note on your iPhone and share it there. On Android, copy any recipe text you can access into Shio’s Paste recipe text option. This page is a guide; importing happens in the app.
