Last checked September 7, 2026
Built for ShioImport recipes from links, videos, photos, and the awkward stuff.
This is Shio's full recipe import app. It handles websites, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Lemon8, RedNote, screenshots, carousel images, cookbook pages, and handwritten cards. The free web tool is limited to one public recipe URL.
- Public linksWebsites and social posts keep the original URL.
- Photos and screenshotsPrinted pages, recipe cards, and image carousels become editable text.
- Video recoveryCaption, creator link, audio, and on-screen text can all contribute.
- Any source languageRead the source and translate the saved recipe inside Shio.

Why import coverage matters
The easiest recipe is not always the one you want to cook.
A standard importer does well when a website publishes tidy recipe data. Real recipes also arrive as a Reel with the amounts on screen, a carousel with the method on slide eight, or your grandmother's card with instructions on the back.
Shio starts with the cleanest available source and keeps checking when it is incomplete. That makes simple links fast and gives the awkward cases a better chance of becoming a complete recipe.
Inside the app
From source to cooking copy.
The original can be a post, an image, or another language. The saved result behaves like the rest of your recipes.

How it works
Use the fastest complete source available.
Shio does not process a full video when the caption already contains everything. It keeps looking only when the first source is not enough.
- 01
Send the source
Share from the social app, paste a page, or upload every photo in reading order.
- 02
Parse the easy parts
Shio checks structured page data, captions, linked recipes, and visible text first.
- 03
Recover what is missing
Audio and video processing can fill in instructions absent from the written source.
- 04
Review and save
Confirm informal amounts and cropped details, then keep the recipe with its source.
Import coverage
The recipe can come from almost anywhere.
Each source fails in a different way. Shio keeps more than one recovery path available.
Recipe websites
Read recipe data or organize the public recipe text when page markup is incomplete.
Social posts
Use captions, links, carousel slides, audio, and video when available.
Cookbook pages
Turn clear page photos into editable ingredients and steps.
Handwritten cards
Transcribe the card, then compare every number with the original.
Screenshots
Combine several images into one recipe in reading order.
Other languages
Read recipes from any source language and translate the saved copy.
Try it with one recipe
Try the recipe your current importer skipped.
Share the post, page, screenshot, or photo with Shio. Check the result before you save it.
