Before you import
Can I make a grocery list from a Lemon8 recipe?
Yes. Import the recipe into Shio, choose your servings, and tap Shop. Shio groups the ingredients into store sections such as Produce, Meat, and Pantry. Check off anything you already have. The groups are not a map of your particular store’s aisle numbers.
Does Shio remove ads from Lemon8?
Shio does not change the Lemon8 app or block ads there. You cook from a separate saved recipe in Shio, with the ingredients and steps and no feed ads.
Can Shio read recipe text inside Lemon8 images?
Yes. Shio reads recipe text from available carousel images as well as the caption. Small fractions, cropped lines, or blurry text can cause mistakes, so compare the imported recipe with the original before cooking.
Do I need to install Shio?
Yes. Lemon8 imports and saved grocery lists run in the Shio app for iPhone and Android. Shio is free to download, with import limits on the free plan and optional paid upgrades.
What if the Lemon8 link does not import?
Check that the post is public and still available. Private posts, removed posts, and platform restrictions can block an import. You can upload screenshots in Shio instead. Include each recipe slide in order and any instructions in the caption.
